Blackboard Learn supports the following image file types: .gif, .jif, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .tiff, and .wmf. Select an image to show on the page. Set the height and width options to display the image at the right size, and include a description for those who cannot see the image. More Help

Adding Image
Go to a Content Area/Folder
Click Build Content tab
Click Image
Fill in the name and other necessary information
Click either Browse My Computer or Browse Course to upload the file
Click on the arrow next to the name to open the Context Menu
Click Delete
Click OK
Advanced Options Dimensions: Allows you to set custom dimensions for the image. Border: Puts a border around the image. Image Target URL: This turns the images into a hyperlink, that means when it is clicked on it opens a new window with a new site. This is typically used to link to a larger version of the image or to the hosting site of the image. Open in New Window: This means that when the student clicks on the File, the content will open in a new window.
